So I got my hands on all three popular launches of Kajals in India that is Lakme Eyeconic Kajal,Maybelline Colossal Kajal and L'oreal Kajal Magique.
Packaging:The packaging of all three is quite identical. Each of them comes in a swivelling pencil container and is very easy to handle.
Lakme Eyeconic Kajal
L'oreal Kajal Magique
Maybelline Colossal Kajal
Price: Though the packaging is identical, the same cannot be said for the price because of course the brand speaks! And so...
Lakme Eyeconic- 200 INR
Maybelline Colossal- 175 INR
L'oreal Kajal Magique- 275 INR
Pigmentation:Lakme never fails to prove its worth and yet again,in the race of being pigmented, eyeconic wins! Here is a picture of the swatch of the three.
Though the Kajal magique glides on the smoothest of it all and has the most creamiest texture, the same works against the retention of the Kajal for long hours. The longest stay power is though commendable of Colossal.
The Waterline Test:
Most of the kajals have a hard time staying on my waterline and tend to fade.Of all the three above in the picture, the one that decided to stick long and dark enough was the Eyeconic Kajal. The kajal magique just wont stay on and rather smudge in a matter of 30-40 minutes because of its creamy texture while the colossal one is a bit lighter and fades.
Verdict:Of the three that I reviewed, the one or rather the two I would buy again and again are Lakme Eyeconic because of its intensity and Colossal because of its stay on power.
